Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 August 2026
Moments is a wedding keepsake service. A couple creates an experience, their guests answer photo, video and written prompts, and the couple receives a storybook of the day. This policy explains what we collect from both the couple and their guests, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Who we are
Moments is operated by Top Bins LLC. Top Bins LLC is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
You can reach us at christian@scavvy.com about anything in this document, including a request to delete something.
2. Who this covers
There are two kinds of people in Moments, and we handle their information differently.
- Creators — the couple, and anyone they invite as an admin. Creators hold an account, sign in, and may pay to open an experience to guests.
- Guests — people who open a link or scan a QR code at a wedding and answer prompts. Guests answer in a web browser. A guest does not need an account with us, and we deliberately ask them for as little as possible.
3. What we collect
Account information (creators)
- Your name, email address and Google profile picture, received from Google when you sign in with Google.
- An avatar you pick inside the app.
- The experiences you create: title, wedding date, cover photo, and the prompts you write.
- Who you invite as a co-admin, and the email address you invite them at.
Submissions (guests)
- The photos, videos and written answers you send in response to a prompt.
- The display name you type when you answer, if you type one.
- Whatever is contained in the file itself. A photo taken on a phone can carry embedded data such as the time it was taken and, if the camera was set that way, the location.
Technical information (everyone)
- Device and app version, IP address, and crash and diagnostic reports.
- Usage analytics. On this marketing site, the web app and the app we use Google Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), which records page views and button clicks. On this marketing site we also use Microsoft Clarity, which records aggregated interaction data to show us how the page is used.
- How you found us. If you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags, or from another site, we keep the tag and referring site in your browser and, if you create an account, on that account, so we can tell which channels people find Moments through.
- Anything you type into the live chat widget on this site, along with the technical details the widget collects to hold the conversation.
We do not collect payment card details. See Payments below.
4. How we use it
- To run the service: create experiences, accept submissions, and assemble the storybook the couple receives.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To take payment and confirm that an experience has been unlocked.
- To answer support requests and act on reports of objectionable content.
- To fix crashes and understand which parts of the product are used.
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use guest submissions to train machine learning models or for advertising.
5. Legal bases
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on the following bases under the GDPR:
- Contract — to provide the service you or the couple asked for.
- Consent — for optional analytics, and for a guest choosing to submit a photo, video or answer.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep or disclose records.
6. Photos of other people
This is the part of Moments most worth reading. A wedding photo is almost never a photo of only one person, and the people in it are not the people who uploaded it.
When a guest uploads a photo or video, they are giving us personal information about everyone recognisable in it. By submitting, the guest confirms that they took the content or have the right to share it, and that they have the permission of the people in it.
If you appear in something submitted to a Moments experience and you want it taken down, you do not need an account and you do not need to be the person who uploaded it. Write to christian@scavvy.com and see Removing a guest submission.
7. Children
Moments is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to create an account or an experience.
Children are present at weddings and will appear in photographs guests submit. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child, and a child does not hold an account with us. A parent or guardian who wants content featuring their child removed should write to christian@scavvy.com; we will remove it.
9. Payments
Purchases in the iOS app are handled by Apple; purchases on the web are handled by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which experience it unlocked, and we keep that record.
Refunds for an iOS purchase are handled by Apple under its own terms, not by us.
10. How long we keep it
- Experiences and submissions — kept while the couple's account exists, so that the storybook stays available to them. Deleted when the couple deletes the experience or their account.
- Account information — kept until you delete your account. Deleting your account deletes the experiences you created and the submissions inside them.
- Payment records — kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted.
- Diagnostics and analytics — kept for a limited period under the retention settings of the provider concerned.
Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so a deleted item may persist briefly in a backup before it is gone.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. If you are in California, you also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA.
Creators can delete their account from inside the app, which deletes their experiences and the submissions in them. For anything else, write to christian@scavvy.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EEA and think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
12. Removing a guest submission
You do not need an account and you do not need to have been the person who uploaded it. Email christian@scavvy.com with enough detail to find the content — the couple's names or the experience link, roughly when it was sent, and what it shows.
We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to remove content that should not be there within 24 hours of confirming it. The couple can also remove any submission from their own experience at any time.
13. Security
Access to experiences and submissions is enforced by server-side security rules, not only by the app. Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest by our hosting provider. Sign-in is handled by Google, so we never see or store your Google password.
No service is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
14. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred there. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as incorporated into our providers' terms.
15. Changes
We will update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
